Sisters Liz Chandler and Caroline Withers opened Newbury's only independent health food store, Natures Corner, in October 1999. It's an impressive set-up on three floors - the top floor being a flourishing alternative and complementary therapies centre.

Liz became her own boss after five years as manager of the nearby (and now closed) Health & Diet Centre. While there, she gathered many qualifications including a Distinction from the NAHS for her Diploma; the Bioforce Phytotherapy course; a Quest Product Advisor Certificate and similar Product Advisor training from Kordell's and Natures Answer.

Looking around Newbury, Liz felt there was a call for an independent shop with a wide range of products and plenty of good advice. To whom else would she turn as a potential business partner but her sister.

Caroline brought a knowledge of health and fitness issues with her as a fitness instructor and former health centre manager with a strong personal interest in cooking and healthy eating.

The NAHS Diploma and Bioforce Phytotherapy qualification were the next strings to be added to her bow.

Natures Corner have also launched their own online store - Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs & Supplements Online so you can purchase your items from the comfort of your own home.
